“ At about $40 per person after tax, it's a pretty good deal considering it's both AYCE Seafood and Sushi. Going in I thought it was just the seafood that was AYCE so it was a very welcome surprise, especially considering the incredible quality of the sushi. From reading the other reviews, it seems the sushi is a limited time thing, so I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend coming by, as they were surprisingly not super busy. The server was also very fun and noticed one of our members drawing on the paper cover for the table, and gave a separate sheet of paper for her to draw and hang in the restaurant. Overall, a surprise spot that I hope gets the attention it deserves, especially while the sushi is here. ”
“ The boil is so good. Amazing flavors. Spiced perfect to your heat level. The all you can eat deal is perfect too. You can get as much crab boil and sushi for one price. I will be coming back. We cleaned up ”
“ Food was amazing. Crawfish is so juicy and staff is so friendly. Oysters are fat and juicy as well. Ambience perfect and restaurant is very clean. Love this spot you guys are sleeping on this place ”
“ This is a total sleeper of a restaurant, and I'm surprised more people haven't wandered in just to check it out. I've lived in the neighborhood for a year now and walk frequently, and have always been curious about this place. I love a solid seafood boil so I finally came early on a Tuesday night. It was quiet in the restaurant but the service was super attentive, friendly, and quick. Ordered the combo B with snow crab, shrimp, and clams. Everything was cooked well, ordered medium spice and Louisiana sauce. Albeit SLIGHTLY oily, everything was just spectacular - especially the crab. I'll definitely be back. ”
“ We were visiting Los Angeles and wanted to have dinner before heading back home to SD, when it comes to seafood boil I'm pretty picky about where I go and I'm soooooo glad we came accros My Crab House thru Yelp. When we walked in we were welcomed, and was immediately seated, we sat outdoors where there were heaters available and a covered dining area, cute , clean spacious and well maintained. There was one server and it slowly got busy and I have to say the server did an amazing job assisting us and other customers. On to the food , it was BEYOND AMAZING! Everything was super fresh and flavorful , we will definitely be back ! ”
“ Who knew that in the heart of Hollywood existed a fun Cajun inspired seafood restaurant, but this is exactly what My Crab House is! Located on the iconic Melrose Avenue along one of its more quieter corridors on the corner of Lillian Way, My Crab House represents your traditional seafood restaurant that showcases its food in a traditional Cajun way, meaning with a lot of flavor and a lot of spice. What brought my family to My Crab House for a late evening dinner was a meet up for dinner with a family member who had recently moved to the neighborhood and didn't really know of what options were out there for dinner in his new home. A simple search via my Yelp app brought us to My Crab House, as after a quick look at their menu and images of their food that they served was not only familiar to members of our dining party but their menu prices were quite affordable as well, which was key. Making a reservation for our party of eight people was easy enough over the phone, as they asked if we wanted to dine inside their dining room or outside in their sealed off patio, oh which we chose the former. What was nicest about dining at My Crab House was the fact that they had their own private parking lot, where there was plenty of room for our rental car to find a space. Upon entry they had our large group table awaiting for us, and had plenty of sports playing on flat panel screens to keep us entertained. As a traditional restaurant with New Orleans inspired cuisine, the menu at My Crab House features seafood dishes that are both boiled and fried. With sections including Boiler, which are traditional served combination style, Fryer, Po Boy, Sides, Appetizers, and Drinks. Since we were a party of eight people, we thought splitting two versions of their Combination C in which you get to choose four of their seafoods, topped with a sauce of your choice, and spiciness level of your choice, and comes with two free corns and potatoes, as well as three free sides of your choice. To start our meal, we opted to share Mozzarella Sticks and Garlic Bread. As for our dual Combination meals, one side of the table ordered their Lobster, Dungeness Crab, Clams, and Shrimp with their heads on served in their Lemon Pepper Sauce with a mild spiciness, with Garlic Noodles, Garlic Fries and Steamed Rice as our three sides options. While the other side of our table ordered their Lobster, Snow Crab, King Crab, and Shrimp with their heads off served in their Louisiana Sauce with a mild spiciness, with Garlic Noodles, French Fries and a Sausage as their three side options. The Mozzarella Sticks and Garlic Bread were your run of the mill appetizers more suitable to your average Applebee's Restaurant if you will. But the real star of our meal would be the massive Combination meals that would be served to our table. Served on a baking tray rather than your typical "boiling bags" the food at My Crab House is presented with such flair that sometimes you don't want to break it up for fear of messing up your combination meal. We would reluctantly do so by first breaking into our lobster by hand and then feasting on crab legs which were easily broken into pieces thanks to the seafood crackers and picks that were presented at each table. The real star of the side of our meal was their clams, as when presented with their lemon pepper sauce, everything was covered in sauce so it was easily transferable to the steamed rice and such. Many people in our party were not used to having a lobster that was served straight up meaning being cleaned out ahead of time, especially the head section, but for us it was all relative as the sauce had a nice flavor to it. Our total bill was $446.07 which was before gratuity was added in, as it included the regular price for Lobster, which was approximately 44 dollars per meal and the Dungeness Crab, which was priced at 57 dollars, the King Crab which was priced at 70 dollars and the Snow Crab which was priced at 41 dollars. All it certainly adds up especially when sodas and drinks are added in, of which they were nice enough to honor my check-in on the Yelp app and gave us a complimentary can of soda. We had a great time at My Crab House, as it was closing time and they never rushed us out as we sat there and enjoyed our meal and each other's company. It's nice to know that places like My Crab House can still exist in trendy areas in the heart of Hollywood so to speak, and I now have a favorite place to visit whenever we are in town seeing the stars shine brightly! ”
“ My Crab used to me franchise with Oh my Crab. They recently broke away forming My Crab. One small negative is the parking lot is small, like 6 stalls small. Note: no a mark but be ready. Positive other than the below review: happy hour till 6pm. Inside, very trendy. Inside can fit lots of people with no problems. They also offer out door dinning that has a couple heaters (10 Dec 2022) so it stays cozy. Started the night off with fresh raw oysters (12). Oysters come from Baja California, smaller version of the Pacific oyster. Had a slightly sweeter taste making it an extra tasteful oysters. On to the Main Dish. Ordered the single choice and 2 choice. Single: Dungeness crab slapped with a mild Louisiana sauce. The best seasoning I've had here in the whole continental! Right amount of heat without overdoing it!! Crab was cooked to perfection!! 2 choice: head on shrimp and clams slapped with a mild lemon pepper sauce. Lol, go with the Louisiana sauce! Nothing wrong with the lemon pepper sauce, but you will score if you go with the Louisiana sauce. End State: this place is running its own off the wall meals. They deserve the respect seeing they have detached themselves from the larger coordinated businesses. Customer service was polite and willing to make your day/night worthwhile! As always, eat till your heart is content! ”
